Description: Serving Survivors with Disabilities will be presented by Deborah Dietz and Sharon Langer with Disability Independence Group (DIG), Inc. DIG is a resource center for persons with disabilities, their families, lawyers, and other professionals regarding an individual’s rights in the legal system, the education system, and employment. The philosophy of DIG is to empower people with disabilities to become self-advocates by giving them access to the tools they need to be educated on their legal rights. Their vision is that “every person is entitled to equal treatment and dignity.”
