Social + Digital Storytelling as a Sexual Violence Advocate (Virtual)

Description:

This webinar is tailored to reach staff who are, in one way or another, managing communications for sexual assault agencies. This includes managing social media, newsletters, agency websites, press releases, community education, outreach, and even volunteer recruitment and fundraising. Survivor storytelling is an integral component of staying true to the grassroots origins of our movement by centering survivors’ experiences. Storytelling can take a lot of forms and provide culturally-specific avenues for empowerment and healing. The webinar will cover the ethics of story sharing, the ongoing role of consent, dealing with trolling (rape culture), and more.
