Description:
Join us for a special PRIDE month Fighting Hate From Home on Effective Allyship and Advocacy for the Transgender Community. This urgent and vital conversation will provide insights on the transgender experience and the importance of inclusivity, why we need activism and advocacy for the trans, gender non-conforming, and non-binary community and how you can be an effective ally. Our experts will update you on how recent anti-trans legislation in several states affects the trans community.

Allison Padilla-Goodman, ADL’s Southern Division VP will introduce the discussion, which will be moderated by Joe Woolley of the Nashville LGBT Chamber. We are honored to have a panel including Greg Green of the Transgender Awareness Alliance, Chanel Haley of Georgia Equality, and Drew Mindell of SOJOURN: The Southern Jewish Resource Network for Gender and Sexual Diversity. We will also hear from guest speaker Jen Slipakoff, former co-president for PFLAG: Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays metro Atlanta chapter.
