40 HOUR ADOLESCENT/ADULT SANE TRAINING (Daytona Beach)

International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) APPROVED Curriculum

The 40 hour SANE training is geared toward medical professionals: APRNs, RNs, and physicians, and is an approved International Association of Forensic Nurses course which adheres to the National Training Standards for Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examiners for adults and adolescents. Once the training is completed, the medical professional will have a clear understanding of the principles of care and evidence collection to provide medical forensic exams to adults and adolescents that experience a sexual assault.

NOTE: Upon completion of the 40 Hour Adult/Adolescent SANE Training a participant will be considered SANE trained, not certified. The training is the first step one must take to be eligible to sit for the International Association of Forensic Nurses examination to become certified.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS WILL BE INSTITUTED: The training will be limited to 20 participants to ensure social distancing and wearing a mask will be expected.

There is no fee to attend the training.

40 nursing contact hours will be applied for through Florida Nurses Association.
