40 HOUR ADOLESCENT/ADULT SANE TRAINING (St. Johns)

International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) APPROVED Curriculum

he 40-hour Adult/Adolescent SANE Training is geared toward medical professionals: APRNs, RNs, physician assistants and physicians and is an approved International Association of Forensic Nurses course which adheres to the National Training Standards for Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examiners for adults and adolescents. Upon completion, the medical professional will have a clear understanding of the principles of trauma informed care and evidence collection to provide medical forensic exams to adults and adolescents that experience a sexual assault. 

There is no registration fee to attend the training. 40 nursing contact hours will be applied for through Florida Nurses Association, the attendee must attend all 40 hours, no partial credit given.

NOTE: Upon completion of the 40 Hour Adult/Adolescent SANE Training a participant will be considered SANE trained, not certified. The training is the first step one must take to be eligible to sit for the International Association of Forensic Nurses examination to become certified.
