Ana María Ferrer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has been working in the field of sexual violence and child abuse for over 25 years.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston College and Master of Arts and Master of Education in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University.  Her experience includes individual and group therapy, community/professional education, policy development and program management.  She has worked in a variety of settings including middle school; hospital-based rape crisis program; private practice; university counseling center; and non-profit community agencies. She is currently the Human Services Administrator at the Nancy J. Cotterman Center, which is Broward County’s only Certified Sexual Assault Program and Accredited Child Advocacy Center.
